March 8th Was International Women's Day

Tuesday March 8th was International Women’s Day and everyone needs to join the “Pledge for Parity.”

It is time for wage equality, once and for all. And while COOKGIRL celebrates the amazing achievements of the female culinary artisans who make THE LIST, we are also all about the next wave of talent and want to push for change in an industry that needs more talent in the pipeline.

International Women’s Day is about the social, economic, political and creative achievements of women.

COOKGIRL’s mission is aligned with the three things that accelerate the advancement of women:

1- Illuminate the path to leadership by showcasing the most innovative, inspiring women in the culinary arts and make career opportunities more attainable for women through COOKGIRL FOUNDATION grants.

2- Be vocal to speed up cultural change in kitchens with progressive corporate policies that include real-life family leave policies.

3- Encourage and showcase supportive environments and work to eliminate conscious and unconscious bias in kitchens across the country.

Join us. Join the conversation.

Cook On!
