On Sunday night, December 13, 2015, COOKGIRL produced its first in a series CHEF TAKE-OVER of the kitchen at MH Fish House.
40 people gathered to experience the high-energy brilliance of Co-Executive Chefs/Managing Partners of Sunday Dinner Club, Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp. For 10 years they have operated the exclusive, underground Sunday Dinner Club series across Chicago - which 3 years ago culminated in one of their customer’s favorite dishes becoming a restaurant: Honey Butter Fried Chicken.
The menu last night was superb:
Laughing Bird Shrimp Fritter with Salad Greens, Pickled Jalapeño and Tamarind Yogurt Dressing paired with Rutherford Hill Sauvignon Blanc
Braised Short Ribs with Buttered Rice and Winter Vegetables paired with Rutherford Hill Merlot
Apple Gingersnap Crisp with Eggnog Ice Cream paired with Peller Cabernet Franc Icewine
