The Pay Gap is Real

Less than 100 (<100) is a non-profit which uses a Pop-Up shop to remind people that while the Equal Pay Act was passed over 50 years ago, the wage gap not been eliminated. Founded by artist Elana Schlenker, <100 is making an impact through a series of stores - first in Philadelphia and now in New Orleans, <100 offers artisan creations from amazing women. Here's the reminder about the Pay Gap: the price you pay reflects the wage gap in your market. In Philadelphia, women make 76% of what men make. In New Orleans, where the market is in November, that number is an abysmal 66%.

The New Orleans Pop-Up store is currently open at 1612 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard until November 30.
